5. Cookies, Analytics and Session Recording

We use cookies and similar tracking technologies to:

  • Keep you signed in
  • Remember your preferences
  • Analyze how you use our service
  • Measure the performance of our advertising

Product analytics. We use PostHog, Google Analytics and DataFast to understand how visitors find and use SiteSeeker. When you are signed in, PostHog links your activity on that device, including activity before you signed in, to your account using your account ID and email address.

Session recording. PostHog records how you interact with our website, such as pages viewed, clicks, scrolling, and what was shown on screen, so we can find bugs and improve the product. What you type into form fields is masked while you type it, though text you submit may be recorded where it is later shown on the page. We remove sign-in, verification and payment tokens from the web addresses we record before they are sent. PostHog also receives technical reports of errors that occur in your browser while you use SiteSeeker.

Advertising. We use the Meta Pixel and the TikTok Pixel to measure the results of our ads, for example whether a visitor who clicked an ad later signed up or made a purchase. We also send some of these events, such as purchases, to TikTok from our servers. Where we share your email address or account ID with TikTok for this purpose, it is hashed first. These server events also include your IP address and browser type.

You can control cookies through your browser settings, and browser extensions that block trackers will stop most of the tools above. Blocking cookies may affect your ability to use some features. To ask us to delete analytics or session-recording data linked to your account, contact us using the details in Section 10.

6. Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Access and receive a copy of your personal data
  • Rectify inaccurate or incomplete data
  • Request deletion of your personal data
  • Object to processing of your personal data
  • Request restriction of processing

7. Third-Party Services

Our service uses third-party services, including:

  • Supabase: For authentication and database services
  • Stripe: For payment processing
  • Google Places API: For business location data
  • PostHog: For product analytics and session recording
  • Google Analytics: For website analytics
  • DataFast: For website analytics and revenue attribution
  • Meta and TikTok: For measuring advertising performance

These services have their own privacy policies governing how they collect and use your information.

8. Children's Privacy

Our service is not intended for children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
