Connect SiteSeeker to Codex
Add SiteSeeker to Codex once and find leads from the app, the CLI or your editor. Results arrive as text.
Before you start
- The Codex app, the Codex CLI or the Codex IDE extension.
- A browser on the same machine for the sign-in.
- A SiteSeeker agency plan. Searches spend its search credits, and hosting-only accounts cannot search.
Connect SiteSeeker
Add the server from your terminal:
codex mcp add siteseeker --url https://siteseeker.ai/mcpCodex opens your browser to sign in to SiteSeeker. If it does not, run codex mcp login siteseeker.
In the Codex app instead, open Settings, MCP servers, Add server, choose Streamable HTTP, paste the URL, then Save and Authenticate.
Note. The Codex app, the CLI and the IDE extension share ~/.codex/config.toml, so adding SiteSeeker once covers all three.
Check it works
Start a new Codex thread and ask:

Troubleshooting
The sign-in window never opened, or it timed out
Run codex mcp login siteseeker. Over SSH, add --no-browser and open the link it prints elsewhere.
The Codex app does not list SiteSeeker
Restart the app after adding it. The app reads the same ~/.codex/config.toml as the CLI.
The search says your account cannot use the lead finder
The lead finder is part of the SiteSeeker agency plans. A hosting-only account cannot search from an AI app.
The search stops because credits ran out
Every search reports what it cost and what is left. Check your balance and plan in SiteSeeker, then search again. Saving leads costs no credits.
You want to disconnect an app
Open Settings, MCP in SiteSeeker and press Disconnect next to the app. Its access ends at once.
Still stuck? Email team@siteseeker.ai with the app you use and what you see.
