Before you start

  • Perplexity Pro, Max or Enterprise.
  • In an organization, an admin must turn on Allow members to add custom connectors.
  • A SiteSeeker agency plan. Searches spend its search credits, and hosting-only accounts cannot search.

Connect SiteSeeker

Server URL
https://siteseeker.ai/mcp
  1. In Perplexity, open Plugins in the sidebar, choose Add custom, then Add MCP connector, and pick Remote.

  2. Name it SiteSeeker and paste the server URL. Under Advanced, set authentication to OAuth and transport to Streamable HTTP.

  3. Finish adding it and sign in to SiteSeeker.

Note. Custom connectors need Perplexity Pro, Max or Enterprise. In an organization, an admin must allow members to add custom connectors.

Check it works

Start a new thread and ask:

Your first search

Find roofers in Austin, TX with no website.

SiteSeeker answers with a list of scored leads, each with its rating, address and phone number. The search uses 1 search credit.

Troubleshooting

  • There is no Add custom option

Custom connectors need Pro, Max or Enterprise. In an organization, ask an admin to allow members to add custom connectors.

  • The sign-in window never opened, or it timed out

Edit the connector, check authentication is OAuth and transport is Streamable HTTP, then connect again.

  • The search says your account cannot use the lead finder

The lead finder is part of the SiteSeeker agency plans. A hosting-only account cannot search from an AI app.

  • The search stops because credits ran out

Every search reports what it cost and what is left. Check your balance and plan in SiteSeeker, then search again. Saving leads costs no credits.

  • You want to disconnect an app

Open Settings, MCP in SiteSeeker and press Disconnect next to the app. Its access ends at once.
